Beach Bus Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm absolutely thrilled to be back on the blog and start sharing the cards I've made with the Summer 2024 release products! Once again, Sunny Studio has come with amazing new items, and today's card features the adorable Beach Bus that I turned into a mountain van.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Beach Bus Camping Themed Card by Marine Simon (featuring Critter Campout, Seasonal Trees, Country Scenes)

And to get some kind of a vintage vibe, I stamped all my images on kraft cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them using the matching dies, and colored everything using my alcohol markers.

Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Beach Bus for the van, small mice in the van and suitcases • Seasonal Trees for the pine trees • Critter Campout for the tent, fire, marshmallow sticks and snail • Garden Critters for the grass • Harvest Mice for the mice by the campfire • Christmas Critters for the large mouse in the van • Country Scenes for the mountain background

Next I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of the same kraft cardstock as the images, and created a cloudy sky on the upper part using a cloud stencil from my stash along with salty ocean oxide ink. I mixed that same oxide ink with water and used a small brush to make splatters on the clouds, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

I stamped my "Together is my favorite place to be" greeting from Critter Campout in black, and attached all my images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. I added a little bit of white blizzard nuvo drops to the heart to make it shine, and finished my card with highlights and details on the images using a white gel pen.

And that's it! If you've never tried coloring on kraft cardstock, you definitely should because it's as easy as coloring on white cardstock, and the vintage look it gives to a scene is really amazing. Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next week for more inspiration featuring the Summer 2024 release.

Juicy Watermelon Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and we are getting ready for Summer with this fun card featuring the Juicy Watermelon Dies set. My idea for this design was to expand the colors of the watermelons through the entire card. Browsing my stash, I came across the Fabulous Flamingos set and realized these cuties were the perfect match!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Juicy Watermelon Die Focused Summer Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Fabulous Flamingos, Botanical Backdrop Dies)

To start, I die cut the amazing Botanical Backdrop twice from white heavy card stock and colored one of them with blending brushes and Distress Oxide inks Bundled Sage (one of my favorites!) and Rustic Wilderness. Then, I glued this piece on top of the white one for extra sturdiness.

I also inked up a white background panel with a striped stencil from my stash and the same oxides. For dimension I added a few green splatters with a small paint brush. The background and layered frame were adhered to a white card base.

The Juicy Watermelon Dies are very versatile and of course I also had to include a slice with the cute little hearts. I kept the color scheme going with the same green oxides and added Abandoned Coral as my red shade. For the black seeds, I used a Copic marker.

I selected two cuties from the Fabulous Flamingos set and colored them with my Copics in matching coral colors. White gel pen details make the images pop even more. My sentiment was taken from the Radiant Plumeria set and I just love that large ‘Summer’ die cut combined with the greetings message. Both were stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink.

After placing the juicy watermelons inside the botanical frame, I added the adorable flamingo’s and the sentiment. As a final touch, I sprinkled a few Iridescent Jewels.

I had a lot of fun creating this sweet card and I hope to see your creations soon! Thank you for visiting the blog and happy crafting!

Build-A-Bowl Die Focused Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha here with you today sharing a fun CAS mixed media card featuring the new Build-A-Bowl dies. I am sure you might have seen the wonderful cards by Mendi last week, if not then, do check the new release out.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Build-A-Bowl Die Focused Friendship Card by Isha Gupta (featuring Strawberry Patch Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Fresh Lemon Dies, Frilly Frame Dies)

I used various dies from the new release. To start, I sponged peacock feathers and salty ocean to a piece of cardstock. Die-cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies. Next, die-cut the center using the Frilly Frames Herringbone die. I used this as a stencil and applied crackle embossing paste to the panel and let it dry.

Meanwhile I die-cut various elements from the dies and added distress oxide inks to add color to them.

Bowl - Build-A-Bowl dies
Lemon - Fresh Lemon dies
Strawberry, florals and leaves - Strawberry Patch dies

Assemble everything together. Stamp the sentiment from the Beach Bus stamp set. To finish, add some sparkle gems to the flower center.

Thank you for dropping by and have a nice day!

Big Panda Card with Leanne

Hi everyone! Leanne here and I'm excited to start sharing projects I've made with the new release. Today I'm showcasing Big Panda on a fun summer card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Big Panda Summer Themed Card by Leanne West (featuring Scalloped Square Dies, Stitched Square Dies, Sunburst Embossing Folder)

I Copic colored the panda and accessory images. I then used the coordinating Big Panda dies to cut them out. I love that there's a die included to make cuts around the arms so the panda can be holding something. I added my panda to a die cut Scalloped Square. I used the second largest die in the Scalloped Square 1 Small set.  I then added the Hello Summer sentiment which is included in the Big Panda set.

My finished card measures 4.75" sqaure. Copic colors used: N2, N4, N6, W1, W3, RV10, RV04, RV06, YR12, YR14, YR18, YG11, YG13, Y15, BG10, BG11, BG13, B21, B23, V22, V25

Next, I made the background panel. I used the Sunburst Embossing Folder to give this panel its embossed sun rays. Before running it through my die-cut machine, I tapped a yellow ink pad directly onto one side of the folder. This gives a letterpress effect to the card stock. The resulting impression is not perfect, however I really liked how it turned out.  I lightly blended on some of the same yellow ink (Catherine Pooler Tiara) and added splatters to the panel before die-cutting it into a square. I used the largest die in the Stitched Squares set

Strawberry Patch Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today and I'm excited to be back on the blog with a fresh and fun card featuring the new Strawberry Patch Dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Strawberry Patch Die Focused Card by Cathy Chapdelaine (featuring Ribbon & Lace Border Dies, Punny Fruit Greetings, Fishtail Banner II Dies, Frilly Frame Dies, Wicker Basket)

I started this A2 card by cutting a black cardstock panel 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I then cut a piece of white cardstock 3 1/4" x 4 1/4", die-cut it using the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace Die and adhered it to the top of the black cardstock panel.

Next, I die-cut a 4 1/4" long piece of black cardstock using the ribbon die from the Ribbon & Lace Borders Dies and adhered it across the bottom of the white cardstock. The red paper from the Gingham Pastels Paper reminds me of a picnic tablecloth so I cut a piece 2" x 4 1/4" and then die-cut the bottom of it using a Fishtail Banner II die. I heat embossed sentiments from the Punny Fruit Greetings Stamps with black embossing powder and adhered the paper to the card front just below the stitched line of the black ribbon piece.

To finish, I die-cut the strawberries, flowers and leaves from white cardstock using the Strawberry Patch Dies and a basket using the Wicker Basket Dies. I colored the strawberries, flowers and basket with Copics and inked the leaves with Rustic Wilderness Distress ink applying light pressure to the ends of the leaves and heavier pressure towards the stems.

I hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by today! For more inspiration, please visit my blog www.inkredibleadventures.com and you can also find me on Instagram as @cathy.chapdelaine.
